64 Units of “Zero-Tariff” Production Equipment for Own Use Clear Customs Swiftly

At the unloading site of Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., workers carefully opened the metal packaging boxes that had just been unloaded, verifying the markings and condition of 56 “core neutron detector assemblies” and 8 “core level detector assemblies.” On December 11, as the final component was smoothly positioned, this batch of “zero-tariff” production equipment valued at over 23 million yuan completed the entire process from port arrival to customs clearance under the efficient supervision of the Baiso Customs under Haikou Customs. It has now entered the factory for disassembly, installation, and debugging.

   “We were concerned that prolonged customs clearance might delay component installation,” said the customs affairs manager of Huaneng Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. “Customs assigned dedicated personnel to explain the policy, enabling us to complete the required permits in advance and ensure swift clearance of the equipment.” Based on the base construction progress, the company plans to import another batch of components to actively support the high-quality development of Hainan's nuclear power industry.
